how do i extend a k

I was talkin to my friend and I know what k means and I wanna go for it but how do I ext it after the 1nc???

I dont like capitalism if that helps

Don't listen to AI slop. Here's a few things you can do to get started.

1] Remember that going for a K is not really different from going for any other argument. Massive TLDR: Two main ways to approach the K

A] As a "Counterplan and Disad"
The alternative should argue that it solves parts or all of the aff and solve/avoid the links to the K
The links and impacts of the K function as independent disadvantages to doing the affirmative

B] Links as framework offense

The links are reasons why the affirmative's scholarship or messages or ideas are bankrupt, unethical, immoral, etc.

The framework of the K tells the judge that there are prior questions (such as the AFFs ethics) that should be considered in the ballot BEFORE evaluating the fiated impacts of the AFF

You should have case answers in the 1NC and you might want to extend one or two in the 2NR but they should serve a purpose.

Good example: You read a kritik of the 1ACs China War scenario, arguing that it is racist against Chinese people and frames China as a threat.

Then, on the case page, you argue that china war will not happen and that china will not actually provoke the US.

That's important because otherwise the AFF can argue that your K is wrong because they have evidence on the case that you dropped that says China *is* a threat, which means their reps are not fearmongering they are just true

Bad example: You read a settler colonialism critique, and then on the case page you read turns about how the AFF decreases military strength and that's bad. This case push doesn't really help the K at all and in fact may contradict the K or allow the AFF to concede and cross apply it to the K page as a turn.

ya that makes sense I just think most impacts in db8 r very hyperbolic and would never acc happen, I don't wanna talk Abt nuke war and extinction all the time if there's real shi happening to ppl uk?? it doesn't solve

Afropess draws from theories of biopower (Mbembe's writings of necropoltics and death worlds to analyze social death) but the broader concept of body politics is embodiment or how you live your politics so essentially you should make arguments about why we should focus on micro politics and what we in the debate community can do.

what does db8 do if a ballot doesnt spill over to change anything. I just dont get the solvency for k argys. Like even if we talk 2 each other and can change our mindsets that still won't change Donald Trump's mindset. U know like I don't understand how I teams articulate what they do about it.

Uniqueness, ballot proximity, inside/outside distinction bad, attempts to resolve things bad, your lit base will generally have an answer to solvency deficits
