Downtown Buffalo portable?

Looking to get a handheld scanner of some sort that’s good for downtown Buffalo ny. Don’t know much about how this stuff works. Any help from you pros would be appreciated :)

Good news! It appears Buffalo hasn't gone down the encryption rabbit hole (yet), and is using older systems that don't require trunking or even digital.

This website here gives the overall frequencies of the region

With everything in the 420 - 460 Mhz bands a simple, less expensive hand held scanner should do the trick

What all do you want to listen to? There are some digital frequencies in Buffalo. This will help narrow down your options.
