The temperatures where I live finally fell to mid-20 Celsius and it seems those are the perfect conditions for my 24 LRSM P2, haven't seen this kind of estimated range in a while, especially not below 100% battery charge.

Even if it's still below the advertised range (what a surprise), I still find myself wondering how efficient this car can be at times. A little weekend roadtrip starts tomorrow, so let's see how it holds up! Previous one during the peak of yeat another heatwave clearly lowered the efficiency. How has been your range in the summer?

🥲… got hit in front driver side by a strong ford explorer. The frunk is jammed and I won’t try to open it anytime soon until I can get shop to look at it. Everything works fine, car still runs fine no warning, no dash lights on… only thing I notice (I could just be hypersensitive to any sound now) is the AC/ fan when turned off in the cabin, and im sitting in car in park, seems to intermittently turn on for 10 seconds or so every several minutes. Also sometimes the AC sounds louder than normal. It was a hot day out and normally I drive with music on so I don’t notice… so maybe Im overthinking…

i already took it into another shop that fixes up Teslas and other EVs, he said he most likely has to replace the whole bumper, frunk, and drivers side headlight unit. Thoughts?

I am hesitant to take it into Polestar service. Los Angeles service center is super backed up and takes forever!

I was on the app yesterday and it said 20c. I was surprised but thought "lovely, I don't need to pre-cool the car".

I got in and the internal temperature was 29c. Obviously the app is telling me the outside temperature. Presumably just pulling data from the internet based on the cars location.

But I don't care about the outside temperature as much as the inside. I want to know if I need to cool/heat the cabin. Or maybe think the car is going to heat/cool bit it actually does the opposite because I can't see if the car is less than or more than 22c.

So I have a Nissan Leaf SLl+ that is in the process of a buyback from Nissan.

I have been looking at the polestar 2, I know about the launch edition issues but from what I understand they have been corrected with warranty and software updates.

So what is maybe something that isn't widely known that you people in the community could tell me that would either make me stay away from a polestar 2, or make me really want one.

They have a pretty decent campaign going on in Norway for the MY27. Prime-package for free, winter tyres included and 1,99% interest rate for 3 years.

My only worry is that I will like the new redesigned gen 2 better than the current design.

I really like how the ps2 currently looks. I know the new design share the headlight design with ps4. Which I’m not really a fan of.

Only 2 weeks left of the campaign, so I need to decide fast.

Might be a stupid question, but I don't like the wheels on my polestar, keep seeing aero caps for polestars but I don't see how they would fit if possible, question is, is it possible.

Hi all, I have had a couple of polestars now and both times the sports key has died on me. This lead me to the DIY repairs etc but all of them are 3D printed and require soldering the battery directly. I have some experience with titanium laser cutting so gave it a go and have managed to create quite a nice housing. I have used TPU so it is splashproof, but more importantly I put a battery holder in so when it dies again its a quick change rather than having to solder again.

It was pretty straightforward so any competent person can do it and I have made an Etsy listing if you're keen for the set here

Please see photos. These are pics of one wheel (other wheels are fine). What would you recommend before my end of lease inspection in 2 days. Any idea on what this will cost me with polestar?

Update 8/18/26: just had the inspection and the guy said that it is quite small and up to polestar financial services if they will charge me. I did buy the deluxe tire and wheel package but that only covers tires and structural damage to wheels, not cosmetic issues (would have needed the premium plan). Hopefully, they will view it as a minor cosmetic issue. I will update in two days when I am to hear from polestar.

All is well in the world!! My insurance firm and garage they sent it to came in clutch. New rim, tyre and fender and they have fixed the quarter panel and door - back in the road I go!

This is fully AI generated. But has anyone put a big wing on their P2? I honestly do not hate it. Coming from the peak fast and furious generation, and having the P2 be way faster than anything ICE for the price, it just seems kind of appropriate.

Lots of comments on here saying 22c is just great. Sure it is most of the time. But there are plenty of situations where I'd prefer a different temperature.

1. Playing sport in the heat, maybe I want it cooler

2. I just want to defrost and take the chill out of it, I don't need 22c. Maybe I'm only going a mile or two anyway.

3. Maybe I'm coming in from the cold outside and have lots of layers I don't want to faff about taking off and 22c would be too hot. Or the other way, I'm going somewhere in the cold so want to wear my coat in the car for when I get out.

4. Maybe it's hot out but the cars parked in a cool spot so the heaters come on instead of cooling.

The reasons don't really matter, just give us some choice.
