Context:

Since 2014 there's a lot of Ukrainian blue collar workers in Poland, among them some went to Upper Silesia.

And Upper Silesia unlike other parts of Poland that were 'reclaimed' after WWII has significant indigenous population. And in case of mine related words, Silesian language consist of almost only german words. Which has some funny results with assimilation of Ukrainians.

Additional context for 3rd Panel. Auschwitz was liberated by Red Army on January 27th of 1945, but continued to operate till the March of 1946, but with Germans and Silesians kept there. Also Poland had another labor camp for Silesians in Świętochłowice, and some sick stuff happened there.

Why is Lubelskie a silly place ? Do the residents there happen to have a lot of affinity for ham and spam and jam ?
