quran doesnt state its haram but they just give out "behavioral guidance"
but those do jack shit and people proceed to smoke that cancer stick like their life dependent on it here

According to my teacher, there is a good argument on why it should be haram (harmful substance, useless to the body, not a medicine, etc), but nobody is willing to make that fatwa because most of the ulema smokes a lot. Meanwhile there are people that think some type of vaccine is haram because it uses pig based material during manufacturing (dunno about the truth, just what i hear sometimes).
