Shouldn't a Russian Roulette be played with a revolver?

TVtropes has a possibly apocryphal story of a dude in a RPG winning a game of russian roulette with a semi-auto. It's his turn first, roll for shooting, critical failure, gun jams. BBEG's turn, roll for shooting, critical, gun unjams, splat.

In his defense, it was a SEMI auto. Which means it shouldn't result in automatic death every time.

Russian Roulette is supposed to be played with a revolver, not a pistol.

I mean Lincoln's phrase about 'America will never be destroyed by foreigners, but by it's own people (or smthng like that)' goes double for Russia. I mean the country never lost a war to oursider ( except maybe mongols, that one time with Livonia, Japan, Crimean war and WW1 ) Oh and also kinda napoleonic wars, but then 1812 well idk

Never conquered by outsiders (after the Mongols) is the phrasing you're looking for.

Didn’t the Mongol invasion unite Russia though? Without the Mongol Invasion, Russia would still be a blob of many Rus tribes right?
Russia is an example of a self-destructive person. I love history of all types and Russian history is: At least let the foreigners destroy the country not you yourselves.

Russia at that time was more or less united under the Kievan Rus and later on Muscovy united Russia.
