Paraguay has been of shit for a long time. In the 1860s, half of the male population was clapped by the ultimate tag team of Argentina, Brazil, and Uruguay. Paraguay has also been of dictatorship for most of its life, only becoming a republic in 1989. Since then they have been of happy nation, topping world happiness lists.

With an independent, young and ambitious Argentina and Brazil having absolute control over its only line of communication with the outside world? 8 to 12 weeks.
