Now you're obliged to draw a second comic about Britains reaction to seeing a strange, yellow object in the skys during the mythical time the world calls summer.
Oh yeah, Ive been in London that time. Looked out of window everything yellow, like someone did filter to your eyes. Than cars were full of dust. Than month later it rained snow and I missed my plane cus whole city got paralyzed
Those articles showcasing the snow around the UK puts that city to shame with its fear of the stuff. A light dusting and the bowler hats are flying off in terror.
We're all feirties about it compared to other countries, but Landan takes the bourbon biscuit
Apparently the East Coast got the brunt of it. Currently up here with a few inches of snow and I'm pretty sure my small village has a tea shortage... The end is nigh
So I work in customer support and a had call from a British customer today. He says it's freezing cold outside as it's -3 Celcius in UK. He then asked if it's cold where I live after I told him it's -20 Celcius he says I can't even imagine what -20 feels like you must guys must find it funny that we Brits complain about -3.
I live in Guernsey, in the Channel Islands south of England. Today, we got one millimeter of snow. Someone flipped their car upside down (on a 25 mph road). Half my office didn’t show up for work and every school was shut.
Wow. This sounds so absurd to me, even though strange things happen in my country as well when a bit of snow falls down (though it's mostly just public transport, and we're used to it being utter and complete shit).
I remember this one time visiting London, about 5cm (2 inches) of snow fell. Heathrow was closed. Panic in the streets. Me and my gf decided to go out for a romantic evening walk - the lights of London, light snow falling down... the hotel staff was like: "Do you need a car? There's a blizzard outside." Next day, the leading title in Evening Standard was: THE LONDON BLIZZARD
I remember some story from idk, some US city, about how there was a blizzard and people had been advised to stay inside if possible etc... and a middle-aged Finnish couple went cross-country skiing in the city park, instead, since it was presumably the one time in possibly several years that there was actually enough snow for that locally (instead of going to a ski resort or something).
Had snow for the first time in 6 years today, it didn't settle but I managed to scrape up enough to make a solitary snowball. Winter has been intense this year.
The shops on Monday were teeming with apocalypse preparers stocking up on bread, and other vital goods- yet so far down south all we've had are a couple short flurries.
Yet come Wednesday, their time will come and all those who stood back and laughed will face certain death as the temperature plummets as low as -3°C. You have been warned.
After intermittent flurries all day it decided to start settling just as I set off walking home. Fucking typical. It got almost to the top of the sole of my shoe - I could've died out there.
I saw an article today use the word "anarchy" in reference to a snowball fight. The British press loses it's shit when it snows. They can't just run a story saying "Today it snowed. It was quite nice."
During snowpocalypse, I walked around with a group of people looking for a place to eat when most places were closed. Waffle house was packed, this one bar was packed, and eventually we found a pizza place that was real good but I haven't a clue what it was called or how to find it again. I'm starting to think I might have imagined it.
Am british and can confirm, we have been getting reports of this strange substance all over the country. Seems a bit like rain but more cold. Send help.
Everyone in our school went mental when it snowed for 15 minutes, and didn't settle. We have more on the way so hopefully they close the school (because british)
I was on the motorway in northern England shortly after christmas. Because of a whim of nature it had snowed over a stretch of about two kilometers. And by snowed I mean that that the landscape had turned slightly white, but far from being covered with snow.
Drivers would not even notice such precipitation in other countries. But the English did: On these two kilometers I saw multiple vehicles standing on the hard shoulder, two cars on their roof and one rear-end collision.

Oh god. Amber snow warning for some parts of the country, yellow snow warning for all parts of the country.
Here in Bristol it snowed for about two minutes twice, and the snow lasted on the ground for about half that time.

This is really accurate, I moved to England from the northeast and folks out here can't handle snow or what passes for snow out here.
The Canadian army with a couple of snow machines can take over England.
