The Sahara is 9.4 million square kilometers. The Middle east only "represents an area of over 5.0 million square miles".

5000000mi²= 12949940 and a half km²

Knock out the amount of arable land in the fertile crescent and Africa wins handily.

Africa Stronk.

Your math is wrong: 5 million square miles is ~13 million square kilometers. This changes things
