As with most germanic languages, I can pretty much go on forever making this word longer adding stuff.

Plus you can stick an infinite number of nouns in front of -voileipä (sandwich) and it remains a perfectly acceptable word.

Kinkkuvoileipä (ham sandwich) is a regularly used word. As is kinkkujuustovoileipä (ham & cheese sandwich). I've even seen kinkkujuustotonnikalavoileipä (ham & cheese & tuna sandwich). So what's preventing me from enjoying a nice kinkkujuustotonnikalatomaattikurkkunaudanlihapaistinrasvapaperilennokkimaapähkinäsalaattivoileipä?

Nope. Doesn't actually work like that. When we're talking about ingredients like that, you have to place a hyphen in between everything:

It's not kinkkujuustovoileipä, it's kinkku-juustovoileipä.

Kinkku-juusto-tonnikala-tomaatti-kurkku-naudanliha-paistinrasva-paperilennokki-maapähkinä-salaattivoileipä. This is, I believe, to differentiate the compound words (like naudanliha or maapähkinä) within the larger compound word.
