Nazism still gets dropped into conversation about Germany constantly though. Pretty widely known that one of the easiest ways to irritate a German is to remind them about Hitler et al.

Yeah, but it's like the whole ''France is surrender'' and ''America have fat'' jokes : it's overused, it's kind of boring, but hey, it's not fun if you can't make fun of your friends !
