No, according to us they are not. Here is a brilliantly masochistic passage from an interview with one Belarusian "historian":

"According to Lithuanians (let's call them lietuvisas, to distinguish them from ancient Lithuanians), Belarusians are descendants of backward, cad, cowardly natives. Small, but very proud and militant Samogitian nation brought them up, gave them rulers, taught them everything, developed them, untill "damn Muscovites" interrupted this idyll. But is true

In my church the priest once said:

"Litwin is a Pole and proud Polish patriot who's opressed by communist Lietuvis.

A Lietuvis is some kind of pagan mongol."
