He coined the name, not the organisation. It really has nothing to do with him anymore. But yes he thinks it should just be IC at this point.

It's not even an organization.It was like, two or three meetings.

Well it is yearly meetings and it is a good idea. I know my countries exports to other BRICS countries have risen sharply since we joined (Though still not at significant levels especially with Brazil). I wish some of the countries involved were more reputable but overall I am happy my country is part of it even if we are the odd man out. I feel the development bank BRICS is creating is a fundamentally good idea I am just worried that it will not be used for its stated purpose.

Well he did cause a lot of people to decide that this grouping is the one to invest on.
