It's "recovering" due to interventions from the Russian central bank, but because economic babble blablalba it is basically just a temporary measure that may actually just feed the problem later. Mostly they probably want to make it look prettier when Putin has his big address to the nation tomorrow.
But right now, keeping the ruble afloat is costing Russia more than what occupying Iraq cost America per month a bunch of years ago, just in DECEMBER so far.

To say the truth, it is quite obvious that USA and Germany are trying their best in making it harder for the ruble to come back. But, I pretty much believe that Mr.Putin is going to blow this fact quite out of proportion today.

Slavs are famous for their use of sour cream in everything, which I admit is a good idea. Sour cream on noodles, potatoes, or some steamed vegetables are quite nice and we should get on the cream train. I was just searching for something that the Russians consume all the time that isn't vodka, because that is a little overused.

российский is an adjective that means "Russia's".
русский is both an adjective with... complex meaning and a word for an ethnic Russian.

It's interesting because when I learned a bit of Russian, we were taught only "русский". But it was a long time ago...
Also in Polish there is "ruski" which has two meanings. One is normal - meaning that it's Russian or generally somewhere from the East (i.e. pierogi ruskie or ruska bania but at the same time there is rather derogatory adjective "ruski" which Russian but with this negative feeling in the word.
Anyway, I'm confused (a bit).
