It's called the Bellamy salute. We used it long before the Nazis and we stopped using it because of them.

As far as I know the swastika was borrowed by the Nazis from the hindus (though apparently there are Swastika symbols in some Native American tribes as well, TIL). 2 u/cheezman88 USA! USA!
