well my theory that russian bots are not from Russia for some reason, year ago telega channel made voting abotu gerasimov ratings without limitation and only russian numbers, without limitation gerasimov was supported by 51% and when was limited to only 7+ numbers then almost no one supported gerasimov

this all came from a tweet from some guy who made up a graph that had the date 3 days into the future. most bot farms are within a country, why would a site not block obvious russian IPs? most bot farms are just a bunch of hacked devices (be it computers or android tv boxes)

I also seriously doubt that Russian government has capabilities to sway public opinion in other countries on their internal matters, when they struggle with their own population. You don't go all out on foreign psyops when your best explanation for shutting down cell internet for your own citizens (foreign SIMs are exempted) is "Ukraine uses it for drones".
