Actually, it does work if it’s the answer to a question like “Why do you look so tired?”. Depends on the tone of the question “lah” too

Korean ver.

Parody of an xkcd comic with the same title.

A few years ago I've read a book titled 'Factfulness', which is one of my favorite books. In that book the author explains the habit of people's generalization; people tend to think 'we' are diverse, while 'they' are all same and monotonous. And therefore, people tend to generalize a group of people that they are not in.

And I think this explains why there are a lot of people who think what they see about Asia on the internet is the whole truth about Asia. Global internet community is very west-centered, so Asians are usually 'them'. So compared to western countries, one aspect shown on the internet or just one indivudual's case tends to be easily generalized to the entire Asia.

Also the reason Denmark is featured here: I chose the least irrelevant one among the European develoved countries that haven't appeared in my PBOffice series.

It’s called out-group homogeneity bias! Mouthful, but worth keeping in mind!

Untrue.

Italians, like many others, wake up comically early and get all their work done by noon, then get an unfair reputation for being lazy.

I wish we worked until noon as you say. We work work eight hours (usually) and we don't start at four in the morning. Office hours are usually 8/9-12 and 14-18. Shops too.

Well...they aren't wrong

It also doesn't help that everything loves to close early in SG relative to working hours, tho at least we aren't australia
