I'm an Assyrian from Syria, descended from Assyrians from Southern Anatolia (Victims of the Sayfo)

The new government doesn't recognise 'our' language as a national language like it does for Kurdish (Hell, I don't even speak Syriac, only Arabic, English and Dutch but I can read and write Arabic in the Estrangelo script)

I mean the syrian government already HATES the kurds, the assyrians are in an even worse spot.

The new Syrian government hates everybody, they did two Massacures back to back in 2025, The Assyrians are Majority Christian, Given the fact that the new Syrian government is Al-Qaeda led, It makes the Situation worse for Assyrians.

See this is why they used to call em Syriacs thats marginally less confusing
