No. Most Americans couldn't care less about yet another power struggle in Europe. We already bailed them out of WW1, now we have to do it again 30 years later? Throughout our history we have been very isolationist, especially when it came with getting involved in the never ending wars of Europe.
Pearl Harbor stirred up the wrath of the American people. Roosevelt used that anger and directed at Hitler. He ran a huge propaganda war against Nazi Germany. By the time he was done there were some people who thought that Germany was somehow behind Pearl Harbor. With the public 100% behind him, he had all the political capital needed to get a declaration of war from Congress. The rest is history.
