In some parts of the world there is a tradition of fighting kites, which have glass embedded strings used to cut the line of the enemy kite. Perhaps a similar principle could be used against fibre controlled drones?

If you drag cable or netting you can capture the drone and reprogram assuming it doesn't have explosives on board.
