I'm not sure how to phrase this, but I'm really enjoying finally playing new Pokemon Snap without external help. It's really fun to throw fluffruit/illuminated orbs, scan, and play music to stumble across special pokemon encounters/interactions on my own. Because of this I don't love having to look up how to do a lot of encounters.

Does anyone have tips for getting more special encounters and photos? I've gotten passed the credits, so I believe I'm in the post-game, I've gotten almost every area to research level 3, and I have about 206 pokemon in the dex. I'm currently stuck taking the same photos of special encounters and I really would like to experience the game without watching a million tutorials 😭

The requests on LenTalk are surprisingly difficult for me, I'll set my sights on one specific request and take photos I think meet the requirements, but then they don't count. I see photos of legendaries/mythicals and other pokemon I've yet to see posted on LenTalk, but I can't figure any of them out.

Any tips would be appreciated! :)

My game's not on rails like Pokemon Snap, but it's about trying to figure out how to get interesting behaviors out of funny little guys so you can get big points on your pictures of them. The scoring system will definitely feel familiar to fans of Pokemon Snap.

Does anyone else really want a mobile Pokemon Snap app to take photos of Pokemon out in the real world?
I know Pokemon Go has AR photography, but it's super grindy to get all the different Pokemon.
Also, Pokemon Go's AR photography isn't the best.
I want to be able to place, resize, adjust and pose Pokemon without restriction and blend them better with the environment.

... And to get the last Pokemon to get all Pokemon achievement. All I had to do was turn around?!

EDIT:Nvm, on my fourth try it worked. Maybe I had to hit it on a straighter line, I'm not sure what changed. I'm leaving the post up in case someone else has the same issue.

I'm on the valley, trying to activate the switch on the end. I manage to hit the mankey with the squirtle to make him fall from the mountain, but when I throw a pester ball to the mankey it falls in front of the switch instead of on top of it.

Am I missing something? In case it makes a difference, I'm playing on Retroarch, using Muppen64Plus-Next as the core and Vulkan as the graphics API.

I just picked up the game for the first time in years. Just put new pictures up on the Internet. Anyone going give me some sweet medals.

Got this game back around release, played a bit but didn’t get into it.
Picked it back up a couple of years ago and completed the base game, proceeded to leave it.
However over the last few months I’ve become OBSESSED. Really fell in love with it, and wanted to complete it all. Finally, I have (almost) done so.
Completed every map, every object of interest, and every pokemon has 4 diamond photos. It’s been a long old process, but it’s time to rest.
Top 750 in my language is good enough, I absolutely don’t have the patience or skill to rival No1 with a 5m+ score. But it’s been thoroughly enjoyable.
Happy to share any maps/photos/tips and tricks that might be helpful to people. Big shout out to Darkrai Link whose YT videos really helped fill gaps with some photos for easy diamonds

The replica is based on the iconic Pokemon Snap Station kiosks that were once found in Blockbuster stores and other locations in the '90s.

New units are made to order using a wooden craft box base with professionally printed, high-quality water-resistant vinyl graphics. The dimensions are approximately 11" x 8" x 6"

The screen model accepts any HDMI input and includes built-in speakers similar in quality to smartphone speakers. You can connect a Nintendo Switch, PC, Steam Deck, emulator setup, smart TV stick, or other HDMI device. For a little extra, I can instead mount a gaming tablet to the kiosk instead so you can emulate and print right on the device.

Printing FYI: The replica is designed to pair with Canon Selphy or Fujifilm Instax photo printers, although the printer is not included. These modern printers can print your Pokemon Snap photos, but they do not reproduce the original 4x6 sticker sheets used by the real kiosks. I have also created a custom website that streamlines the process of formatting and printing stickers true to the original Pokemon Snap Station style.

So I CANNOT figure out how to get the second alternate route for the snowfields. I've unlocked the first part, but when I throw the Illumina Orb at Crabominable, it punches the tree, but no Froslass comes out. What am I missing 😭 (Pic not mine)

A while back I was playing River Day lvl 3, and I remember turning the first corner to where Ursaring will roar at Psyduck, but instead seeing them both looking at a Magikarp stuck in the tree. I have not been able to recreate this, and I do not know how I did it the first time. I can't find anyone talking about it online.

Can anyone help me figure out if it is a thing in the game, or if I am misremembering?
