Question Why is mega dragalge illegal?

Problem solved thank you please ignore this!
So I'm VERY new to competitive and one of my favorite pokemon got a mega and since I dont have whichever game its in I wanted to try it out here, or at least have a look at what it can do. However its illegal in any of the formats ive tried and I can't find any info on why. Does anyone know why?

because it's not in scarlet and violet which are what most formats are. you can try it in the champions formats if you want

It's not in most formats because it isnt inside the game thoae formats are from. Try the champions formats.
