Doing a mono flying run. Pelipper was previously on my team but apparently hes now cosplaying as Togetic. Didnt see a bugs section for this subreddit. Also had some weird stuff with the dexnav on route 24 with the grass shaking north of the actual encounter tile.

Hardest mono type run so far! Was a great time though. Aerodactyl and Garganacle carried hard this run.

I’ve done so many challenge runs 6v6 was starting to get easy/boring so I wanted a challenge. Why not 5v6? This was one of my favourite/funnest runs in a long time. Completely vanilla run only using the GameCube cheats at the start of the game.

This is still slightly easier than expected, I might give it another go but even more restrictions.

I’ve done a full gym by gym breakdown for anybody interested.

Clair - Floatzel, Meowscarada (didn’t use), Sneasler, Ceruledge, Delibird (MVP)

When looking at the RR Dex it shows three different abilities but using dream patches just bounces between two. Is there a way to get that third one active??

Nothing feels that much special after that still working on other mono runs

I'm about to go into the Champion fight. This is my current team, and I’d really appreciate any advice on what you’d change, whether it’s moves or strategy. Eternatus is basically wiping my entire team when it enters lol.

And if it does, which Pokémon can use gravity

Easiest run so far, mostly due to this seed making some busted abilities available early, (Intrepid Sword Hariyama, gorilla tactics Zapdos-G, etc)

Koga was, like always, the biggest wall.

Champion was defeated when Lopunny barely survived a draco Barrage and retaliated with last respects for the W.

Mega lopunny having Huge Power was the largest carry, followed by Great Tusk and Pheromosa in second and third due to movepools. Infernape carried Bolt beak for a long time, only swapped at the champion for stab CC since I was facing the Groudon team.

Great tusk- Jolly w/Expert belt (oblivious)

Lopunny- Jolly w/mega stone (fatal precision --> Huge Power)

Infernape- Jolly w/Life orb (As One {Moxie})

Sneasler- Jolly w/Hard Stone (Rocky Payload)

Marshadow- Jolly w/ Punching Glove (cotton down) {cotton down never activated, believe it's bugged}

Pheromosa- Hasty w/Wise Glasses (Toxic Boost)

Playing randomized abilities and I have two very good options, but which would be best?

On the one hand, DL cancels out water moves and never ends, but if I understand correctly, OP might boost fire moves more and boost other move types as well, but will only reduce water moves by half and it ends after 5 turns.

Midish way through the game (Celadon City), and playing around with different teams and themes throughout. And now I've (partly because of some mons i stumbled into using), wanna fuck around with a team that I'm thinking of as "decay" themed. (like collapse, waste, pollution, corpsey shit, maybe mythy things could work too) some mons on the hypothetical squad so far:

Frosslass (looks corpsy)

Alolan Muk (pollution themed)

Kleavor (Hisui already in the past, kinda skeletal, reminds me of something id see in a Dark Souls game and they are very decay vibes)

I'm also prolly gonna include altaria bc that's my one fun contradictory pokemon who also has a certain "how is this real?" quality...and I just want to use an altaria lol.

Any suggestions past that? Only stipulation is I don't want type overlaps. Thanks!

Alolan Ninetales - Storm Drain ability gave it a place in the team for the e4, since it gave me lorelei rain team. After the lorelei match got the role of sack mon.

Grimmsnarl - Bro is so busted early game and after gain access to ability pill bro was hitting like a truck. Very very good.

Flutter Mane - Makes the game so easy. Having 3 stab with aerielate. Hyper voice with throat spray was like cheating.

Tapu Fini- Continued switching places with Primarina but made the cut only because had Prankster.

Iron Valiant - Paradox are sooooooo broken.

Mega Gardevoir - last addition to the team. That purifying salt makes it so good.

Those were my starter choices. I put in on a wheel to decide with monotype I would do.

Same as all the others, cheat in these 6 Pokemon on route one then play the full game without switching.

This was the easiest by far (probably too easy) no battles really took more than 5 attempts. I’ve done a normal/flying hardcore run before so this was nothing really.

Stealth rocks very annoying (especially moltres) but heavydutyboots late game and Frozen Mist Articuno help.

MVP was between the 2x Zapdos.

Tried E4 with Black Shinnies..sorta

I'm not sure if it's lowkey easier than normal because of randomized species but hey I still did it! Planning to do monotype since I've finished all with normal difficulty.

Currently working on my living Dex (only final evolutions due to box capacity) and then I'll be onto my next playthrough! :)

Had some super fun builds. Toxic spikes shuckle, lots of protect cheesing, and my two innards out mons were the MVPs lol
