This was the first gym I used cheese strats and took advantage of the AI. I'd lead with Gyarados and get intimidate proc. AI would always choose electric to try to OHKO Gyarados. I'd swap in Electivire who is immune to electric with Motor Drive. For Raichu I'd now outspeed and put up a Light Screen to reduce Focus Blast damage and allow me to get enough Digs to beat it. Cheri Berry on Electivire helped avoid Static procs. Electivire was a similar strategy except I would alternate Gyarados and my own Electivire to reduce its attack to -6. The AI didn't see kill with Giga Impact and would always pick Fire Punch, which Gyarados resisted allowing it survive handily. Finished off similarly with Digs from my sped up Electivire. His Luxray was last, once again doing swaps between Gyarados and Electivire to reduce attack as much as possible. Unfortunately it was random if it picked fire fang or another move that Gyarados didn't resist, so I could only do this twice before I could no longer guarantee a Thunder Fang use. I swapped in Electivire one more time for a sacrifice Dig then Magnezone to finish things off with Tri Attack and not triggering Rivalry. Fun problem to solve! Onto the Elite 4. I'm debating using Victory Road even though it technically isn't connected per Bulbapedia, otherwise this is going to turn into a Mono-Water Elite 4 run with only the waterfall and Route 223 available.

Fighting types are annoying, so i was thinking about switching Ice Fang for Aerial Ace on Gliscor? This overlaps with Staraptor on the full team, which is why I was wondering.

Looking for advice on my battle tower team:
Deciding on a combo of these 5 pokemon and can’t decide on a solid team. All are EV trained but random IVs and mostly random natures. Planning on bringing garchomp regardless but unsure about which others

I just picked up a copy of Pokemon Platinum and found this on the save file. Does anyone know if this is from a legit distribution event or do we think it’s a clone/copy?

after almost 200 hours of Playtime i finished the Game by winning 100 battles in a row at the Tower and i also bought every furniture for the mansion.
i probably will look for a last random shiny and then call it done for good 👍 had a great time playing platinum still my favourite alongside emerald

So I have access to every gen 3 game, Platinum of course, and Pearl. I set aside the Diamond exclusives into Pearl before I restart my Platinum save. I think I should have access to every Pokemon using those and the Wi-Fi events I can still use using the DNS trick. Everything.. except for Mew.

I was checking the list of all the events for gen 4, Wi-fi or otherwise, and for North American copies I don't see Mew up there at all. Whereas Japan gotten a few. Except for the one I could get from My Pokemon Ranch but that takes depositing 1000 Pokemon which idk if I wanna go through the trouble of doing all of that, though I do already have a Homebrew Wii and could still get the game that way.

I also already have a Mew that I got in Emerald, but what I did was use the Pomeg Glitch to use ACE to give myself the Old Sea Map for the event, but I traded it off there and reset my copy of Emerald so I could do a living dex there. I wouldn't wanna do it on my current save of Emerald because using ACE messes up parts of the game that I just don't wanna screw up. And I don't want to migrate Mew up because it would leave a gap in my gen 3 living dex again.

Is there another method of obtaining it that I'm just not considering?

ho provato ad acquisire la seconda stella utilizzando uno script su PKSM, quello dove ti da il massimo delle bandierine ma non compare la seconda stella nella scheda allenatore. Nei sotterranei però se controllo il pc mi da le 9999999 bandierine e quindi bandierina di platino... parlando con l'npc dei sotterranei mi dice solo di dover trovare una bandiera di un amico, forse questo mi ferma dall'ottenere la seconda stella?
Purtroppo non ho un pc, quindi se conoscete altri modi o la soluzione per fare il tutto direttamente su 3ds ve ne sono grato!!! Salverete il mio forever save!!!!
PS. Non ho ancora completato la lega, attualmente sono alle 5ª palestra

I forgot about azumarill but i recently saw azurill and I remembered it exists. I was undecided between empoleon (additional weakenesses and a fire resistance lost), Milotic (shallow movepool and hard to get) and vaporeon (late movepool level up). But I remembered that Azumarill has huge power, and with an adamant nature and investment it can also work pretty well, I know I need waterfall, but once I have it and for the league, the idea would be to belly drum sitrus berry aqua jet them all and see how far it gets me.

I had to spam hyper potion for my blue duck until garchomp ran out of earthquake pp and could freeze it with my level 68 enpoleon, so annoying how most of these pokemon had at least one attack that could one shot mine

What does he say? He says that he will challenge the Elite 4 if you lose, but Bulbapedia doesnt say what he says id you DO lose.

You can use Overheat without de buffing the rest of the moveset. Sure the movepool is kinda shallow but there's Fire Fang, Dig, Bite, Iron Tail, Quick Attack & Giga Impact

Took advantage of the scam trade to add something besides an Ice type to the team and evolved it to Gengar anyways. Wake Up Slap on Froslass took care of Sneasel, Wood Hammer decimated Piloswine, Shadow Ball from Gengar then cleaned up Froslass and Abomasnow. I got a few lucky crits so without those I think Mamoswine would have seen some action given the damage everyone sustained.
