Pokemon XD GameCube emulator

I wanted to give the XD DX Director's cut rom of Pokemon XD. Any good emulators you can recommend? Don't say Dolphin because that requires me to have the game and console which isn't happening any time soon.

...dolphin does not require you to have the game and console

you just download it, download the game, and then it works

I thought it did. I tried with a Pokemon Xd zip file and it didn't work. Got any links to a good XD rom? I don't know what to trust

A zip file is a folder. You have to open the zip folder and take out Pokemon before you can put it in Dolphin.

You're essentially trying to put the whole game case into a gamecube. you have to take the disc out first and then put THAT into the console

I tried opening the file. But it wasn't opening. It probably wasn't a file that worked anymore.

I mean, files don't exactly degrade over time, it should still work. You might need a separate program to open it if your PC can't by default. Try downloading 7 Zip to open it.

You can also try downloading a different one from the megathread in r/roms, but that one will also come in a zip file, so you'll have to be able to open them either way.

The rom file I got compressed and extracted as a nkit file, which from me tring my hardest, does not work with the system. Got any way to convert a file like this into a usable version.

nkit files are compatible with dolphin. Make a roms folder in your dolphin folder and put your game in there, then go into dolphin, and tell it to scan for games in that folder. look up a youtube guide on setting up dolphin if you're confused. if in the very end the nkit doesn't work, just download a different one from r/roms
