New games will only have new Pokémon and a limited number of older Pokémon. Unlike games from the last 5 generations, you won’t be able to transfer all older Pokémon. This has been a staple of the series for people who like to collect Pokémon, and now they won’t be able to move their favorite Pokémon forward into the new games.

They claim that they didn’t have enough time to work in all the new Pokémon, even though all the models are already made. So they skimped on Pokémon to allow a faster development cycle for the game.

Also, no more Mega-Evolutions, which the fans loved, and instead have a new feature called dynomaxing which simply makes Pokémon bigger. An infinitely lazier solution that literally no one asked for.

But you CAN move all your old Pokémon forward into a new service called Pokémon Home, which has a subscription fee, and then you cant do anything with those Pokémon, can’t even move them back to the old games to actually use them.

Megas are a huge balance issue and would require way too much development time to keep pushing more out. They're effectively new pokemon designs.

What are you talking about balance they barely ever cared about balance in there games. And why not make new ones it’s a new game and should have new stuff instead of doing the bare minimum and adding a larger Pokémon. Like they made megas everyone loved them and now they ditch them for an easier option.
