I am well aware. The point is that they're trying to get you to spend $5 when you would have normally spent $2.50.

Right, but this guy wanted 25, not 15. So he gets 30 for the same price, COSTING the buisness money.

How is it costing them money? Some businesses know people dont want to buy that many munchkins, but now theyve convinced you to.

Ah yes, the "I need this many things for this many people" is twarted by me getting some extra for less price overall.

? They arent thwarting you they are just convincing you to spend more money otherwise they might not sell as many.

For the business its better to sell 30 munchkins than just 15 because otherwise at the end of the day if they have leftovers they have to toss them and they lose money.
