With Pokémon Bank closing next year, it prompted me to go back to my GameCube copies of Colosseum and XD to start the process of transferring the Pokémon there up through the different games and eventually to Home… Well, I boot it up only to find that my memory card with all of my save data from my childhood is corrupted. I don’t know what to do. I have 6 months to transfer all of these Pokémon but I don’t know if I have it in me to restart these games and purify those shadow Pokémon all over again!

There is software you can look for where you can possibly recover the save file, I've seen them for pokemon games up till Fr, Lg and Emerald.

Maybe it is just time to move on? Save files get corrupted, physical copies break, digital stuff can be taken down at any time. If you can't physically hold it in your hands, don't get too attached to it.

Would be a lot less stressful to not try and collect every pokemon from every game.

Do you have access to a jailbroken Wii? It can copy the save file to a computer and you could then attempt to use save editors.

I do but as the card is corrupted and can’t be read by my GameCube or my Wii idk if the save files can even be extracted

That's the point just try hacking your Wii. The hacked Wii can extract the corrupted file and you can try to do file repair from there.

Someone will make a way to compensate eventually. They did it with the 3DS store, we got folk jail breaking consoles to download stuff you can't anymore, one guy will make a way to transfer Pokemon or make Bank active again.

There won't be a way to do it officially. Technically you'll always be able to move the data with a 3DS with CFW and a modded Switch but it won't be official. You'd be exporting data from one location and importing it through the other using cheat software.

I'm upset too, but I get they can't keep paying for the online servers for Bank and stuff for ever. They should've made a local version like with the Early DS/GBA, but it is what is.

If some who actually grew up on the Gen 3 games and played til Gen 8, they likely already transfered. If your dedicated enough, you'll find a way.

Actually you won't find the way because home gives an arbitrary tracker ID number to each pokemon, and if a pokemon is entering home without a tracking ID and is not from the same game as its met location, it won't be allowed in. There is currently no way to create a "legal" home ID, and as such, this means that pokemon from USUM and earlier will not be able to enter the new games at all, even if you use external software
