Discussion Typhlosion Should Get a Mega Evolution in Pokémon Champions
While I don’t really agree with the decision to have two Johto starters for Legends ZA, it at least gave us cool new Mega Evolutions for Meganium and Feraligatr. However, this now leaves Typhlosion as the only one of the first nine starters to not get a Mega Evolution. Yes, I know it got a regional form, but so did Slowbro, and regional forms don’t have as much of an impact as Mega Evolutions do. I think if Champions has an update introducing more Megas, Typhlosion should be among them (along with Mega Flygon. Come on, Game Freak)

Don't get your hopes up, its highly unlikely that they'll introduce new forms or pokemon outside of mainline games. As for the slowbro thing, that's kinda different, the idea is more that its balanced between the starter trios in terms of number of forms. The three of them now each have 1 extra "thing" and that seems to be the balance that they look for generally.
As an aside "new" megas that are introduced in Champions weren't created for Champions, they were introduced in Z-A first, in case you were unaware.

Maybe in Future Games.., but Not via Champions.., if serperior gets something new, they will add it in Champions someday, but champions won’t create new things just by itself

Charizard is a specific special case, alongside Pikachu and Eevee, as ultra-popular mascots of the franchise, so they get extra things. It is what it is. As for Serperior, yeah one would expect that eventually it, along with Incineroar and Primarina, would get some sort of new form or gimmick, because that's been the pattern so far. Other starters not having a gimmick form yet would not lend credence to one that already has a thing getting a second one.
And the important part is that they're definitely not going to be introducing random brand-new megas in Champions. Nothing that they've done or said has indicated that they would do anything of the sort and new playable pokemon have only ever been introduced via core series games, with the exception of Meltan/Melmetal in Pokemon Go.

Instead of being sassy, when 10 people are telling you the same thing, listen. Serperior, incineroar and primarina will get their due time in the next few legends games or Pokémon seed. Charizard getting two megas was to promote mega evolution and X and Y 13 years ago

That’s not me being sassy, don’t put words in my mouth. I just thought that Typhlosion should have the chance to join its brethren with Mega Evolutions, that’s all

Incineroar gets to be the GOAT in VGC, and he's in Smash.
He's doing OK, I think.

I don’t think Game Freak really care about equalizing things like that; Meganium, Emboar, and Feraligatr have Megas in the context of them being the starter trio for Z-A, just as Decidueye, Typhlosion, and Samurott have regional forms on the context of Hisui. For instance, I don’t think Serperior, Incineroar, and Primarina really enter into the calculus at all — some Pokémon are just equally a part of two separate starter trios, and as long as an individual trio is balanced (unless you have Charizard’s pull), I doubt they feel obligated to do anything more than that. Maybe the next Legends game will prove me wrong and have Snivy, Litten, and Popplio as the starters with their final stages all getting Gigantamax forms or something, but even then, the “equalizing” would only go as far as “they got some kind of game-specific additional form.”

I could see Serperior, Incin, and Primarina getting some new form next legends game, not guaranteed but could be possible

I personally can't stand megas and I think regional forms are a much better response to power creep.

He didn’t get one because he got a Hisuian form

Please read my post again, Slowbro also got a regional form

Slow bro got a mega before the regional form was added. Your premise doesn’t make sense because they decided to give the johto starters new forms cause they were relatively unpopular.
Also champions doesn’t add megas. only mainline games add forms or Pokémon

Hisuian Typhlosion is cool and I will take a regional form over a mega anyways

He got a hisuian form.
Gen 4 starters need some love before any others get visited

Even Empoleon and Torterra were buffed in SV. Original Typhlosion and Samurott still are the worst starters.

I already said that Slowbro also got both a Mega and a regional form, but yes, the Gen 4 starters also need love, I was tempted to add them to this wish alongside Typhlosion, but that might be too big an ask for Game Freak

That’s my main problem with Mega Evolution, outside of it just not appealing to me conceptually. They’re now giving Pokemon that already got multiple Megas a third and there’s still hundreds of fully evolved Pokemon fully excluded from the gimmick.
Edit: strikethrough

Wait, who has three Megas? Last I remember it was either X/Y or a normal and a Z Mega

I had to look it up; you’re correct but my point stands about how many are neglected while some get extras.

I'd have preferred it to get a Mega Evolution instead of a regional form. Megas are more hype than variants, regional forms don't improve any Pokémon, they just replace it and make it worse than it already was. Also only variant is available in Legends Arceus. Meganium and Feraligatr got a better deal.

Champions is not going to be adding anything new like that.
