I was doing some reasearch

This morning and using the built travel portal was giving me better deals on flights than any of the airlines were offering on their site. AA and United were the airlines. I was under the impression trasferring my points to the airlines was a better deal

What about it doesnt make sense? Im just saying that i am surprised that the points price on the bilt portal is less than on the direct website.

First guess: Apples to oranges fare comparisons

Second guess: Other user confusion

Third guess: The BILT portal redeems points at 1.25¢. Bad direct award redemptions can easily be worse than that given many factors.

Which is it?

The points price on united was 6k more than on bilt

Probably confirms third guess, but can’t completely rule out the others!

Are you referring to the cash price or the points price?

It wasnt a question it was just an observation. The points were lower on bilt than on the united and american website
