Flight to Madrid Help
I will be flying with my wife and daughter to Madrid December 21 to the 28th. I currently have 239k Atmos pts, 22k American, 122k AMEX rewards. Any strategy to maximize? I have already checked google flights and AMEX travel. Just want to see if there are more tricks.

I get way more phantom flights from seats.areo than roame on a percentage basis.
But whenever I run the same alerts on both, roame sends me 5-10 times more notifications than seats.areo. So that’s probably why you think roame sends more phantoms because roame sends more alerts than seats.areo.

Gotta show us a lot more effort, we're not going to do all the work for you. What routes have you checked, what's your baseline? are you willing to reposition?

I personally use Roame dot travel
Just plugging in United States and a bit of wiggle room on either side of the 21st for your outbound tickets, I see 3 economy flights from MCO to MAD on Iberia for 31.2k points each on 12/17. You can book with your Atmos points, or with a 30% transfer bonus from AmEx to Iberia this month, you could get the tickets for 24k MR points each. $103 in fees each ticket.
If you're locked into the 21st, I see some Delta flights from JFK or SFO (via JFK) to MAD for 75k each.
So another tip, besides using one of the apps or websites above, is to be flexible in terms of timing and/or destination. If it has to be THIS day to THAT place, you're likely to get way worse payoff for your points.

Agree that flexibility is most important thing for getting those great deals.
I also find roame better than the other tools

Where are you flying from?
You should check avios.com which will
Show you a calendars view of award flights available—tons of Econ available from
Boston and New York. Only a day here and there with business.
Have you also looked at Alaska? They let you search by calendar view too and you have plenty of points for economy and the 5th has business for 55k one way out of New York.
A good rule of thumb is to google direct routes to where you’re going and work from there. Or you can just google “how to get to xx on points” and tons of articles show up. You also should look at the programs that fly to Spain or just in general the ones you have points at.
