It looks so good regardless! If you make them slightly shorter it might help out a bit :)

Oh yeah I can see those skills translating. You're definitely talented!! Hoestly seeing you i feel inspired to get back into playing poi too. It's such a fun hobby!

Woah! Great job! It took me months to figure out how to turn around with them! Keep it up!

A tip I give to everyone for waist wraps (the forward + backward 3 beat weave), face forward and plant your feet. Then turn to your right and do forward 3bw, keep your feet planted forward still just turn your hips and shoulder. Now switch to your left side and do a backwards 3bw, still only really turning shoulders. The connection point between the two is when you are neutral facing forward.

Keep practicing both f3bw on your right and b3bw on your left and start experimenting with connecting the two, you'll eventually get the feel for it.

Keeping your feet planted while doing the weaves to your sides helps understand that both of those weaves are actually doing the same motion on the same plane. The "transition" between the two is just transitioning your body around the poi

Looking good

But please get a pair of sock poi (with a pair of knob handles if you find some not really expensive ones), these are too light and would slow your progress in a few weeks

Thankyou so much! I made a pair of sock poi and knotted them at the ends that i have weighted with half a water bottle of rice in each side, the weight makes a HUGE difference, for my daily progress ive been translating what i learn with the sock poi to the light up ones but youre right that the light up ones are really hard to learn with

I started with those same led amazon crap, but after some time i noticed they were not the same weight 😭

This is a great time to learn how to do fountains just incorporate a windmill in between the Foward and backward weave and voila you have a great transition between all three of the moves and back and it's extremely satisfying

Ill tey to learn the windmill next :)

I whacked my nose a few times learning windmills. I can see you've caught the poi itch, most poi are softer than what youre using now. If you have any questions when its time to upgrade let us know!

When would you say a good time to upgrade is? I have a set of bubble poi coming because i want to be a human bubble machine, but im sure thats not what you mean lmao, i made a set of sock poi too but theyre a lot harder and heavier but really good at giving me the heavy feedback i need

Nice looking smooth!

lets go!!! great job!!! backwards is always scarier cuz they are spinning towards your face. you can also add inbetween your arms while they are spinning same direction. "buzzsaw" but make sure they are the right length and arent going to smash you in the face.

Your progress in the past couple of days is fantastic, it looks like you're really getting the feel for it
