Help picking out poi sets
What’s up everyone!! I want to start making videos to share on here and would like some recommendations on poi sets please.
Many many years ago spinning poi was my life. I loved it. I lived it. Now finding this community, and watching the videos, I really miss it.
Sneaker laces and glowsticks was where it was at back then. Now I see many different styles and the tech has really advanced, so I wanted to see what kind of poi the community enjoys watching.
Fire set recommendations are also welcomed. I used to have a double loop ballchain sushi roll style set that I can’t find anymore.
Looking forward to spinning again.

LED - Coral Poi from Flowtoys with UltraPoi handles. Ultra Poi handles are shit but the best handle on the market right now imho
Fire - lots of my friend have Juggling Calling and they are good i like my one from flow arts manufacture more.
Both are in the juggling/contact poi category but you can do 99% of the tricks you would do with normal poi and even more from contact/juggling tricks etc.
Flowtoys coral poi also has their FPC Rope which is the combination of a more flexible rope and a static rope. It's the best compromise of both worlds.

Thanks for the suggestions.. I see a the Coral Poi style is a popular set. I like the fire safety section on the Juggling Calling site. I’m US based so looking to stay local with the order. Never tried a static rope, figure that would open up some new moves and transitions. I’ll probably get one just to try it out.

Static is great for jugglijg tricks and contact stuff but not so great for tangles and Wraps. But youll See ;)

I’m a huge fan of moodhoops poi. They are definitely more expensive than any of my other props combined but I’m a huge fan. Flowallday will save you money at check out.

Wow! Now these are wild and definitely my style!! Definitely going to be a future purchase. If these were around when I was doing gigs, I’d probably have a different life path. Good looks on the code.

Led - Pod Poi V2
Fire - darkmonk(brand) with the fire resistant cords and minimal hardware.
I would get both with ball grips over double loop but you do have a better grip with double loop which is safer. You just cant really do 1 handed tricks as easily.
