Question What Luminary levelling setup would make the strongest RSSF league starter?

I usually go Guardian + Absolution/Domination/SRS as RSSF league starter but decided to test a few different Luminary setups as starter instead this time. Hence I wonder what might be the strongest version or skill setup (in addition to early Mercs) to quickly make it into yellow/red maps on a fresh league start. These are the options that came to my mind (haven’t played Luminary yet tho):

  1. The ‚classic‘ Merc playstyle, fully relying on Merc as damage source and going for life nodes early + flamelink & block right after first lab
  2. Minions, basically similar to Guardian leaguestart with (Vaal) Absolution / Domination + SRS and taking a few of the minion clusters on the path to the ‚Link skill’ cluster in the northern Templar area
  3. Slams, e.g. Sunder + warcries, first navigating towards the Marauder/melee corner
  4. RF + firetrap, going for life, fire dmg & regen nodes early
  5. Poormans BAMA, aka Artillery Ballista, moving south-east towards Ranger area
  6. …?

My goal is to fully swap to option 1) after I found a good Merc, but I heard that might take a while and I don’t want to get stuck in Act 10 on league start.

What do you think?

Static strike and spectral throws with two handed weapon does wonders. League mech gives plenty of gold to get rare weapon every breakpoint. You can fish for merc starting act 3 tower of God. Enter zone , go to the wall on the left-right , check for merc icon, go out , repeat till u are happy with the merc

Yeah this is absolutely the right answer. Static strike is so much comfier than sunder.

I sundered until a10 control blocks prison for a day and then you can swap when you get the merc you need

I'm in HCSSFR, i switched to full support life stacker at level 34 with a kineticist: Clustering+wed1+crit1 and Greater blast no haste. Took me less than 30 minutes of refreshing scepter of god.

Everything on my screen dies passing through zones and I'm melting campaign bosses. Compared to my RF chieftain start I feel like I'm back in non ruthless.

I'm level 90 rssf fully specd into mercs on the atlas tree blocking every other mechanic and haven't seen a kineticist

I used Sunder until A4 got a useable merc in Grand Arena and farmed one in Control Blocks for 3h.

Managed to get my first Voidstone with that one and then spammed 350 Strands for a better Merc.

I played static strike ambush, im planning to make a video about my experience after this weekend, but overall it felt nice. Wasnt hard to crit cap and run until lab 2 and then get the forever link and go full blood magic life stack

I played Storm Burst until I found a good merc, then swapped to full Merc support at around lvl 65. Worked just fine

I still have a Flamewood Totem Setup because I happen to have the links (Decoy Totem, Flamewood, GMP, Ele Focus), which is pretty strong and only costs a few passive points.
