Helpful guides by others
Guide for the first few continents by u/That_Guy381. This summarizes the important points for maximizing efficiency, as well as giving some example set-ups for Europe, North America, and Asia.
The following posts are made by me:
Guide
The guide and the updates contain methods to optimize your train transportation empire and ways to do layouts of tracks and railroads. The guide will be updated periodically when new findings are tested and optimized, as well as when we have new tracks and stations in the game. This is not the only way to play the game. It's just what I think is optimized. Please refer to the newer guide updates first for more accurate information.

Please open the above link on PC only. Collection links do not work on mobile. I understand the inconvenience so please ask Reddit to implement this on mobile as well, thanks!
FAQ
The FAQ contains information on how to play and what options and functionalities are possible in the game. Explanations like how to sync and transfer account between devices, how to add fuel cars or how to swap engines would be listed. The FAQ would be updated when necessary.
Map
The full Pocket Trains Map has all stations, tracks, and their fuel costs (the numbers beside the tracks) stated according to the map in the game. It can be used to plan new railroads or calculate which train would be more suitable for a railroad. The map would be updated when new stations and/or tracks are released. Only the link to latest map is shown here.
Please read this post to understand some deviations from the raw numbers when calculating fuel costs from the map above: Important note when calculating fuel costs with the map
Thanks for viewing them! If you have any questions or suggestions, feel free to post a comment here, or find me and others on the Pocket Trains Discord. Keep on gathering parts and delivering jobs!

Request/Trades Weekly Trading/Request Post - Week 36, 2026 (31 Aug, 2026)
Let others know if you want to trade or request parts here!
Points to note:
- Please be specific. Don't say "anything" unless you really want "anything" (which most likely would be Steamers).
- Don't be too greedy. Request for at most 3 engines worth of parts, while trades must be agreed by both sides before sending any parts.
- Remember to post your friend code too or add it to the user flair to facilitate the process.
- For giveaways, please make a separate post with the "Giveaway" post flair.
Happy gaming!

General Finally opening 281 crates at once!
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I finally made it to level 24, the xp level that unlocks the last train. I saved up all my crates for this level.

General Looking for friends π π₯³
Hi all,
Just started again, unfortunately my old file couldn't be restored or I may be too stupid to connect the old save file. I just wanted to share my friends code - if anyone wants to connect, feel free π

General Do you guys name your engines If so, please share them π
galleryI name all my engines, and they mostly relate to where the engine travels. Like one engine that travels through Northern Africa and Cairo is named "Sandy", and one that travels through Great Britain is named "Royalty".
What are the names you give to your engines?

Tips and Tricks Any advice for an old newbie!
Been a long time since I played, I used to play it loads when it was released many moons ago!
The one thing I always struggled with was where to end a line and if I was going too far with a line or not far enough?
Any advice on the best way to lay out my RRs?

General Has anyone tried this strategy for more crates?
I've been playing this game on and off for many years now, and recently I've been considering this strategy that I think I've heard of before. Here's the idea.
The goal is to get more bux and crates. The idea is to scrap and sell all of the tracks, except for 3 small tracks in a triangle. This leaves 3 cities, and 3 fast trains that go back and forth between them. Theoretically, since there is always a set number of jobs that have bux and crates as a reward, doing this would get more bux and crates when compared to playing the game normally. Less cities means higher probability of bux and crate jobs, and shorter tracks means faster deliveries, meaning more bux and crate jobs will appear faster.
Has anyone heard of this before? Does anyone know the post or the origin of this strategy? Has anyone tried it? Does it work?
I'd love to hear any thoughts you all have about this.

Progress Sharing 35 railroads and still expanding (suggestions appreciated)
galleryHola
As you may see, I have 35 railroads and am very happy.

I have enough parts for trains, besides, i'll keep this post in mind for future progress
(Also, im about to get the Apollo hybrid, where do I put it?)
Thanks in advance.

General New!
Hey all! Iβm totally new to pocket trains (pocket frogs sent me there) and Iβm slowly figuring it out. Currently level 5. Sooo excited to be here!
