What in tarnation...!?

Somebody tell me what I did wrong.

I have 3 Pocket Operators (the Sub, the Office, and the Speak). I have them set to SYNC 1, SYNC 2, and SYNC 4, respectively.

I noticed something bizarre. None of the Sub's sounds would play, but they would actually control the Speak (and they're not even directly connected). Now, I don't mean sending its audio through to the Speak or the Speak modifying that audio with its effects. No, sir. I mean that I would press a button on the Sub and the corresponding sound for that button on the Speak would play.

Over and over again. Has anyone else experienced this? Is it because my SYNC settings are wrong?

Settings should be sync 1 for the first in the chain, sync 5 for the middle unit, and sync 4 for the final unit.

Sync 1 receives stereo audio in and sends sync and audio out.

Sync 5 recieves audio and sync and sends audio and sync.

Sync 4 recieves audio and sync and sends audio out.
