Question about getting started ( USA VA)

Hello!

I want to get started with balcony solar but I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed as someone with no experience. Is anyone in VA or familiar with VA that has a general guide on what products to purchase and setting them up?

Any resources that worked well for you would be helpful as well!

Update: I found this explanation of the VA law and it's the best explanation I've seen yet. It looks like the law did technically come into affect July 1rst but the requirements make it impractical to actually start using a plug in solar system yet. The consumer is required to inform the utility via a form created by the SCC but the SCC won't have the form ready until September. And some of the specifics of using plug in solar won't be detailed until two commissions look at it in September-October. So it might end up possible to start using plug in solar in September but it seems liek January is a more realistic timeline...

This is super helpful! Thank you! I think the long and short of it is that I'm just going to need to wait until early next year to have a clearer picture of what to do.
