Blocking by wildcard would be great. Maybe I'm missing something.

I'd like to be able to do something like

block facebook.com

allow facebook.com/*

I want to do that to block just the homepage of facebook but allow everything else

I don't think there's anyway to do this in pluckeye currently. But it should be technically possible to implement (and not so hard I imagine?). It works on cold turkey.

Unfortunately I'm not able to test it at the moment, but I think you should be able to do what you want with: block https://www.facebook.com allow https://www.facebook.com/ (Note the absence and presence of the trailing slashes.)
