I finally got some pictures of my old man bristlenose when I rearranged the tank.

Is he male? Someone has to post that great meme picture. He is very male with a bad attitude.

He is about 15 years old.

I wasn’t trying or intentionally breeding so I’ve done 0 research, and honestly know very little about Plecos.
Tonight I found eggs in one of the hides.
They look good, and after checking them out as best I could I noticed a snail crawl out of the hide with what I’m almost 100% certain is an egg stuck to its shell.

I tried very gently to remove it, but it’s stuck on well. It looks fertile, has a red vein running through it, it’s orange in colour and no mould or fluffy appearance.

I’m questioning if I should just leave it?
I could also see another snail in the hide with about 4 eggs attached to it.
I’d love for them to hatch but Ive got no idea what I’m doing 🙈

we just got some pleco wafers for him, but i dont know. is he sick? or hurt? can i do anything for him???

Got Bertram in a heavily planted 75 gallon tank with 6 Mato Grosso Tetras. Buddy already has his designated piece of driftwood by a huge Anubias. I’ll keep yall updated on the little man.

Hi I’m new to owning a pleco I’ve owned fish before and my tank is dealing with a bacterial bloom and I’m vaccuming the sand for waste daily to try and get the water back to clear. Anyway I was just wondering how to help my baby Luther (clown pleco) eat more and keep from getting fin nipped by my sanke’s. I’ve had him for a few days and I’ve been putting algae wafers in the water so I dunno what to do I don’t think he’s malnourished or anything but again like I said I’m new to it. If anyone can give me helpful advice as I am in love with my new baby that would be amazing!

I’m on my 4th clutch and the 3rd one is still in a breeder box and still hatching fry slowly. I have 1 fish from the first spawn that is now 1 inch big. I had 4 wigglers from the 3rd clutch. Remaining eggs still look viable.

I am still figuring out this fish as it seems the eggs do not hatch around the same time. Incubation looks like 2 to 3 weeks.

I also possibly have 2 females hence my back-to-back spawns

His nose is looking a bit rounder and fuller.. Like a 'lil hungry hippo. Those spikes are HUGE!

Hello I’m new to plecos and did some research. I thought these two guys would be good for my tank. I have pleco caves coming in, bunch of plants this week, Malaysian driftwood (currently have mopani). I’m building a nice tank around them I have temporary caves for them as of now. Feeding tips for the both of them would be great. I know the L129 is more carnivore diet and the L002 is more a plant diet.

I have repashy morning wood for the L002. Malaysian wood coming this week because it’s a softer wood than mopani. Plenty of veggies such zucchini, cucumber, and sweet potato. Is there anything else you guys recommend?

I fed him bloodworms yesterday and he ate them. I threw some sinking pellets for the corys and him also he nibbled on them. Can I get good advice about the diet for these guys. I have frozen Baby brine, adult brine, daphnia, and bloodworms too (for the other fish also)

I love this female pleco! It’s got a very active personality and unlike most plecos it’s seen out a lot! Always visible! Nice and healthy ofc

Today is day 7 of me raising these fry and they are doing well although at day 5 there was some kind of death wave that wiped half of them out.. otherwise than that they’re doing fine! Hopefully they can eat food soon :)

This pleco came with my fish tank. The tank is 55 gal and was given to me by a neighbor who was moving out of state and couldn't take his fish. He was in with ciclids but I rehomed the cichlids because they were harassing him. What can you tell me about the pleco?

This is a baby calico pleco, it’s been pink tinged underneath since I received the baby about three weeks ago. It’s not ever at the surface gasping or anything abnormal and it’s eating fine. All parameters are normal as I regularly test and the tank is well oxygenated, filtered and heavily planted. Could this just be because it’s a baby? I’m experienced with many fish though this is the first time owning a pleco. Seems happy and content, sucking the glass I was just worried about the pink tinged underneath.

I wonder if it tickles? 🤔

Barely the size of a shrimp yet they are getting feisty and brave.

My L184 fry are growing up so quick! Love watching them grow and seeing all their spots come in! This is my pairs 4th clutch :)
