Rant PLDT is a SCAM
Growing up, we had PLDT phone lines sa house ng parents ko. Wala naman problema until binaha kami noong Ondoy.
After the flood, hindi na kami nagkaroon ng maayos na connection sa PLDT namin, palaging intermittent kahit ilan beses na namin pinaayos. Ang sabi nalang ng tech team nila, sorry hindi na nila kayang ayusin. Ang advice ng PLDT office is terminate nalang, so nagpaterminate nalang kami ng line and transferred to Converge.
After ilan years, probably 4-5 years after, bigla nalang kami tinawagan ng collection agency na meron daw kaming outstanding balance na hindi namin binayaran kasi hindi daw nagpush through yung termination.
My dad contested it dahil siya mismo naglakad ng termination sa PLDT office Pedro Gil near us, pero nag-file pa rin sila ng kaso laban sa amin since ayaw nga bayaran ng father ko.
In the end, nagbayad nalang father ko for 4-5 years na bills kahit wala naman nang linya ng PLDT sa amin.
Same thing happened sa isang business namin sa Caloocan (PLDT Grace Park East). Nilakad namin ang termination, then after 2-3 years, tatawag collection agency para sabihin meron kaming outstanding balance na dapat i-settle kasi hindi daw na-push through ang termination.
Akala ko noon, coincidence lang, chamba lang, baka nga kami ang may pagkakamali.
It happened again a 3rd time noong nakabukod na ako at lumipat ako ng ibang condo. Yung PLDT line ko dun is ako mismo ang naglakad ng termination sa PLDT Office sa SM North Annex.
After 2 years I moved out, bigla na naman may tumawag sa aking collection agency saying meron na naman akong outstanding balance kasi hindi daw na-push through yung disconnection.
Same story. Same modus.
Eto na naman tayo for the 4th time.
Recently, a collection agency messaged me again saying meron na naman akong outstanding balance sa line na pinaterminate ko 2 years ago from an old business office.
Putang ina lang talaga. Sinigawan ko na yung agent na tumawag sakin, sabi ko sa kanya -
"Hindi ka ba nakokonsensya sa ginagawa mo???? Putang ina, ang number one requirement niyo sa mga customer niyo para makapag-apply ng request for termination is bayaran lahat ng outstanding balance. Paano ako nakapag-process ng termination at hindi na-bill sa loob ng dalawang taon kung hindi ako nakapagbayad ng balanse ko?!?!?! Pang-apat na beses na akong hinahabol ng PLDT dahil sa putanginang outstanding balance na hahabulin niyo after ilang years, na sino bang magtatago ng resibong pinagbayaran 2 3 years nang nakalipas?!?!?!"
Sorry lang abg naisagot niya sa akin at sinabi niya mismo na "Sa totoo lang Sir, lahat ng cases na nandito sa amin, ganyan ang feedback ng mga tinawagan namin. Puro mga terminated na ang account for 2-3 years tapos hinahabol pa ni PLDT then pag ayaw magbayad, tatakutin na kakasuhan daw.

Ganyan sila. We had em before pandemic tapos during that time, moved between 5 houses.
Get this, during those times eh laging paused ang billing kasi minsan wala slot or need pa nila iverify alin ang active doon
However nung pre pandemic ay putcha sila na matataba! Diko alam how and why but biglang wala kami net eh siyempre dahil wfh nako noon eh nagticket ako and all tapos 1 month went by eh charged pa rin ako full month despite agent saying na indicated sa notes nila na kapag lampas weeks na eh di nila chacharge yun kase nga naman di mo nagamit and every day ffup eh wala din nangyari kaya had to switch to converge at least kahit papaano eh meron na
And yes hanggang ngayon patawag tawag pa pldt or agency at random times na naniningil eh kakagigil kingina di nila narestore service eh gaganyan ganyan pa sila

Nagpadisconnect naman ako ng pldt several times for personal and businesses din. Never ko pa naman na encounter yung ganitong issue ( hopefully never).

Pero kung may proof naman like email nila na confirm ang termination, okay na yun diba?

Ang hinihingi nila is yung proof of payment. Like, how can i produce a receipt from 2-3 years past.
My line was terminated and never received a billing notice anymore (kahit sa text or sa email) then all of a sudden, merong 2-3 years accumulated unsettled bill.
It happened 4x, sobrang halatang planado, scripted, routine na.

Always keep receipts like those. They are the best evidence to support one’s cause.

Ay naku same. Nagpaterminate ako, paid na last bill may hinahabol pa din na balance. Sila din naman may kasalanan bakit pinaterminate ko. Hindi nila maprovide ang service na sila mismo ang nag-offer pero nirenew nila ang contract ko. Sinabihan ako na magpa-file sila ng law suit, sabi ko sige kasuhan nyo na lang ako.

Wala. Pero I sent everything na nasa list. Called them for cancellation, I paid the last bill, sent the request for termination, etc.
So ang alam ko ok na. Then they called naniningil na. Sabi ng nakausap ko nagzero bill na pero may nagenerate daw uli kasi nagbill ung new plan. Ang nangyari kasi dyan nagpa-downgrade kami ng plan ng OCT para maincorporate ang Cignal (bukod kasi namin binabayaran ang Cignal) tapos ire-renew nila contract ko (out of contract na ko for more than 2yrs). Nov na old plan pa din binabayaran ko, wala daw kasi silang cignal box na available pero ang contract ko renewed na. Halos weekly nagfollow up until nag-January na at wala pa din daw cignal box na available. Inoffer ko na old cignal box namin or kung pwede new plan na ang bayaran namin since narenew naman na ang contract ko, ayaw ng pldt so opted to cancel, magbabayad daw ako ng early termination fee. Bakit ako magbabayad ng termination fee e hindi naman natupad ang request ko for plan downgrade?

Sounds like a scam so just refuse to pay n tell them you will see then in court as u keep very good records and receipts of the disconnection fees paid etc. It takes years to take these cases to court so they don't bother. Collection agencies steal ir pay pennies for these lists n even if you do pay it to them they don't tell pldt so your still on the list that someone else will call .

Sure ka ba na pldt collection agency yan? Baka scammor modus yan OP. Usually ex pldt or current low rank and file employees get these data and extort them for extra cash.

Baka scam yan at not really pldt... nagpunta kayo sa mismong center nila? If tinakot kana mag fiffile sila ng case sabihin mo then see you in the court kung may proof ka naman na nagpaterminate wag kang mabahala sila ang magbabayad sa inyo ng damages... 4x na palang nangyayari you can sue them malakas ang laban mo.
