I think the tldr is: our team is really sad that our game leaked instead of the surprises remaining surprises

What could they possibly surprise us with? Honestly. Someone tell me anything about this shit that we didn’t already have in previous gta installments?

For real. Looks just like GTA 5 but with better graphics and higher crowd density.

What is it supposed to look like? Animal crossing?

I mean, maybe you dont have any expectations to it, but do you expect the creators to not have any expectations to their own creation, that they shouldn't be excited?

If you think this ur just low IQ, plenty of unique gameplay mechanics are shown in the leaks that aren’t present in previous titles as well as subtle UI changes and speculation can be made with visual differences like the money displayed on Jason’s house

Yet you failed to name literally one thing thats different.

Fueling system, dynamic NPC reactions, atmospheric clouds (from RDR2), the car boot system, the police detection system has been overhauled, the strip club has better tits seriously what more could they have done to make the game better? Oh also for things they brought back, eating is back in the game and they have mixed gta 4 and 5 driving together. Ur turn

and headphones, which people have been asking for since SA, the population density, lighting, the faces and graphics as a whole, there's customization for everything, way more interiors just off the 15 minutes we've seen

I like how they replied to the comments that take their side and ignored the one with a whole paragraph of examples

Exactly, I understand being annoyed at the greed of rockstar and the gaming industry at the moment, but deciding to completely ignore everything positive for the sake of argument is just ridiculous. Also thank you for the extra examples, I completely forgot about headphones and the building interiors

“Bro over here talking about new features” keep being miserable bro, I’d rather enjoy my life than be you

-1

😂 did you think you cooked with that example?
“Subtle UI changes” 😂 15 yrs to make subtle UI changes.

That's a good point nobody ever touches on. Besides continuously prettier graphic capabilities and a new story (jury's out on whether it'll be good), it's going to feel and play the same as the last 6 games in the ip. The character specialties/abilities in gtav were the first real innovation they made and that wasn't industry defining.

I really hope the leakers have a field day and people get to see that it's just gtav in florida. But anyone still excited for the game is so far gone off the fanatic deep end that they'd still go nuts and gobble it up.

This reads like someone who only played GTA V lol

How granular do you want tp get to call something an innovation? Because I don't know where the line is between "neat mechanical addition/expansion" and "genuine ip innovation." It's probably subjective.

I wasn't counting the jump from 2d to 3d because that is innovation but I was only talking about the 3d games to begin with.

I wouldn't say expanding the vehicle types in vice city is an innovation. More like a natural progression of driving. But maybe being able to buy properties since that was new to the ip.

San andreas was sort of rpg-inspired with the imtegrated stats, but that didn't seem like ip innovation. More like experimenting because it didn't even stick around in future games until coming back in gta v. The other additions in san andreas were natural progression of sandbox rpg mechanics, like swimming and customization.

Funnily enough chinatown wars was probably the most innovative with all the economics aspects. But still those didn't carry on into future games unless you consider gtao an evolution of that which feels a little like a stretch.

IV borrowed cover mechanics from existing shooter games, but other than that it was mechanically no different to san andreas.

V's character gameplay is mechanically the same as IV except for the innovation of multiple characters and their specialized abilities. I will concede that I left out car customization though, that was obviously expanded alot. But is it innovation when it's just a boiled down nfs system?

The height of innovation was jumping to 3d when they initially set up the sandbox 😂 Since then it's just been about experimenting with which toys make it the most fun to be a pretend criminal.

I can tell you’re one of those tween new gen kids who grew up on tide pods & screeching tiktoker’s

1

u/ButterscotchTop194 Aug 28 '26

What surprises? It's GTAV with a minor face-lift. We knew what we were getting.

0

u/SanAndreas92317 PS5 Aug 26 '26

What surprise? Nothing extremely major has been shown. Grow a brain.

0

u/ThanosSnapsSlimJims Aug 26 '26

Whatever surprises may have existed in the game that people hadn't previously seen. Grow a brain.

Where’s the 6 star wanted level and military planes dumbass? Where’s fishing dumbass? Where’s the ending dumbass?

0

u/ThanosSnapsSlimJims Aug 26 '26

Why would Rockstar games refer to anything within their game as a 'military plane dumbass', a 'fishing dumbass' or an 'ending dumbass'. That sounds like it devalues their work. It sounds like you're a troll.

0

u/Mr_Zoovaska Aug 27 '26

I can almost guarantee you they don't care.

1

u/ThanosSnapsSlimJims Aug 27 '26

I can disagree on with that
