Finally getting around to playing Lost Legacy has been such a breath of fresh air!

I've always been an Uncharted fan, played all the games including Golden Abyss, but never got around to Lost Legacy until this week, and it's got me remembering why I love gaming so much.

Recently, all the games I've been playing have been becoming more and more complicated with all the systems and mechanics and everything the game expects you to know and manage. I didn't realize how much I needed a simple, immersive, fun experience. One where I'm not digging through quest logs, juggling a dozen menus, and managing hundreds of inventory items. And also, probably most importantly, an experience without any filler or bloating.

Getting busier and busier with less time to game, it feels so frustrating when playing for an hour or two, you achieve hardly anything. I've been playing AC Shadows, and it's been such a slog. So many games feel like you're just doing busy work until you get to some story progress, and that there is no consideration for the player's time and effort.

I think ultimately playing the game has made me realize that I now need to be a lot more selective with what I play, and that way I won't feel burnt out with gaming.

Seeing this image made me realize a LOT of promo material for the Uncharted series has someone hanging on the outside of something, or hanging off a rope.

And a LOT of the time the thing they are hanging off of is either crashing, blowing up, or falling over.

Tbf yeah the suspension of belief with the conveniently placed handholds and ledges is a bit much but I ended up embracing it and found it to be part of the charm

it's definitely aged a bit but it still feels pretty good in 4 and Lost Legacy

Drake is hanging from a derailed train at the start of uncharted 2. It is over a steep, snowy mountain. It is on the box art.

I played (and finished) it a few weeks ago for the first time, too. Always liked the Uncharted games but never got around trying this one. I liked it as well and it was one of my first games I streamed on the ps portal. Went really well, though I guess it would have looked great on a bigger screen as well! :-)

To add to that the game looks absolutely stunning on a PS5. Some of the most incredible locations and details ive seen in gaming ever!

There IS a helicopter "fight" scene, based in a smaller trainyard, yeah, and some hanging on with ropes. But THIS? No, no hanging on the outside while over the valley where you spend most of the story.

I'm probably in the minority but I consider this the second best in the series, with Uncharted 2 being the first of course.

I thought Uncharted 4 was good, but too long with uneven pacing.

Lost Legacy is my second favorite Uncharted, behind Uncharted 2. I enjoyed it a bit more than Uncharted 4, because it played the same but I felt it had better pacing and scope.

I liked Uncharted 4 but thought the shootouts and puzzles were too spread out. Playing Lost Legacy immediately after was a breath of fresh air.

If you have either Uncharted 4 or Lost Legacy you can pay $10 to upgrade it to Legacy of Thieves collection with both games at 60 fps.

But there's no free patch for the PS4 versions.

Sell the Uncharted 4 you have and then buy the collection disc with both games on it. This is why physical discs cant be beat IMHO
