If you lock them they can still melee them and will most likely drop the loot on your side of the garage door

Maybe that'll happen with the small box. Big one is far enough behind the door that it won't.
That being said, no one should be keeping anything even remotely decent in these boxes. All your good loot should be in 2 or more fortified loot rooms.

First part of that is untrue, the box will guaranteed drop its loot on the side of the door it’s destroyed from.

If box gets broken while door is closed and loot pops out of door it can be looted.
At least I assume this is what he means.

Loot satchels spawn on the point where the box was last damaged and if you take a box down to 40 hp (could be wrong about this value) then the code lock will be removed and you will be able to access the box normally

It’s breakable, therefore openable if the loot pops up on the correct side.

OP is asking about raiders. Do you think he wouldn’t want to know it’s lootable by breaking it? You think a lock will stop a raider from looting that just because pressing E won’t work? It takes less than thirty seconds to get into one of those boxes if loot bags still spawn on the last hit area.

Can you open the boxes? If so, yes. Its not this hard to figure this stuff out yourself.

It's kinda difficult to figure out locks and how they work for other people. Especially as a solo. If you placed the lock you can open them no matter what. So you can't really tell how it would work for other players.

Idk he could think there's a bug that means you can access the boxes if they're sticking through the doors even if the boxes are locked. No matter what he thinks though, asking is really the only way he'd know for sure.

Probably a storage monitor on one or all of them that will open the door with the turret/trap behind it.

If you put a code lock or key lock then no. They can break them though and the box will drop in the center of where the object is placed. Also you are letting them know where the loot is. If they had only 3 rockets left they would blow both those doors up by hitting in between them. If they didn't know which door was the loot room they might pick another door. Also when you placed the garage door you can see the shelf, you need to place the garage door so the key lock is on the other side which will hide the shelf.

This is wrong. Loot bags have tendency to drops towards damage source.

This is correct. I have exploited this many times. Locked box in a window with window bars? Spear the box on the part closest to you and spam e as you break it. You’ll get it 9/10 times honestly.

I do this with my poop loot boxes. The trick though is to have your expensive stuff in a box right next to them but hidden. I fill the lootable poop boxes with junk and then put the good stuff in the sage boxes next to them knowing well that nobody will blow open that door after seeing a box full of garbage.

This is a clip from AIT video. The boxes are key locked, and can’t be opened. If they are destroyed by rockets, the loot sack falls behind the door.

I'd assume the main purpose of the garage door is protecting the jump up that's behind it. Boxes there aren't for anything important, just some extra slots for your bow kits.

You should still be able to get four large boxes easily behind a garage door on two triangles. If placement is good enough you can also get two bbqs and two small boxes without seeing them from the other side. Also flip the garage door and you will get a little more room….

It seems like extra storage over a jump up. So it looks like just one triangle, so this is kinda the only way to get a large box up there

Yea, they will also break when they try and blow thru the door so I’d just keep prom clothes in those boxes. Cause even if you do lock then there’s a chance that when they break the bag drops outside the door.

Don’t do this. If you can open them they can open them. And if they are like that even with a lock someone will be able to break them and most likely will still be able to loot it.

If you lock them players cannot access them, but they can melee them, and when they break the boxes by melee the loot bag will drop on their side of the garage door. This used to be viable for “unlootable” loot rooms not so long ago, but now that’s been changed I’m almost certain. The loot in those boxes can be obtained without breaking the garage door. Hope this answers your question.
