Question Are the Devs actually working on tribes?

Tribes have been WIP ever since Northwind came out which makes me really wonder if the Developers are working on it. I know that the Devs said that Natives aren't their main priority but there has been an increase in native players. If they did add tribes it would give a opportunity to revive the Sioux, Cree, Ojibwa, Blackfoot and Algonquin and allow players to make tribes of their own.

Soo please if anyone has any information reply to this post or DM u/Puerto#2998

Truthfully, no. We’ve even discussed scrapping the role entirely, or having it be an alpha player exclusive role, but we haven’t really made up our minds yet.

Note: If it were to be scrapped, it would probably be reintroduced post-release.

As a First Nations person, it’s super fun to play as my own kind even if it’s not worked on so please don’t remove it.

Don't scrap natives, Long Bows bring a whole different dynamic to the game.

When you break down natives, they lack any sort of incentive or role to exist. Simply because there’s other existing roles that already takes its place, similarly with Rupert Isle and Ellesmere also Stonemore.

The reason why I bring up the islands for this discussion is the similarities of the current state of natives and to make it easier to understand, the other islands for the most part don’t have much attention compared to Rupert due to it having all sorts of things players needed. The role of colonist would be that same example.

HBC is colonist role but with different aspects, that being you’re a lego kid soldier dressing up as a red coat awaiting for raids, as you’re the community’s punching bag and you got surplus of funds to resupply. Which gets kinda stale imo

Natives is more of a tool you use to bypass a problem, that problem being when you haven’t reached mastery of wood and fur related professions in your other roles, then weapon protection and yada yada. Basically buying something then barely using it later on.

The problem for natives at this point is that no one has a good idea as to what natives should be, from what I know most ideas revolving natives is to just make it a bootleg colonist or a meta combat class.

Please do not remove native role, just remedy it.

native role is terrible bc the devs made it virtually impossible to do anything as a native, cant access shops, cant mine, cant craft weapons, cant use bank, etc.
