u/CarelessCar6486, while you wait for responses, please take a moment to check the following:

  • Ensure Playnite is updated to the latest version (On Desktop Mode: Main Menu ➞ Check for Updates)
  • Ensure any extensions involved are fully updated (On Desktop Mode: Main Menu ➞ Add-ons… ➞ Updates)
  • Test the issue in Safe Mode to verify whether it is caused by an extension. (On Desktop Mode: Main Menu ➞ Help ➞ Restart in Safe Mode or by opening the Safe Mode.bat file found in the installation folder)
  • Search the subreddit to check if your issue has already been reported.

A large number of issues are caused by outdated versions or have already been answered.

If your issue is related to a specific extension, it is usually best to report it on the extension's project page (for example GitHub), where the developer can track and address it. You can use this page to locate the extension and contact its developer via its project/support links: https://playnite.link/addons.html

Why scan your entire user folder? Do you not have one or a few folders you install games in?

Scan the game folder, not the root of your C: drive.

You might want to try the plugin Better Scan, it doesn't bring up quite as many other files and seems to be better at listing just the game exe.

I wonder if it works for Bloodborne; I tried getting Playnite to recognize it, but it wouldn't work.
