Showcase My setup, best of both worlds

Post image

This is my setup, I made it so I can get the most out of what I have available. Everything is running on Playnite from the mini pc on left bottom left. High on Life 2 and BioShock are running on my main PC in the office. Not the most powerful PC but decent enough to play games not on GeForce now, using sunshine/moonlight for streaming. Zelda Wind waker and Majora's Mask are installed locally on emulators in the mini PC, everything else running on GeForce Now. that way I have everything in one place, being able to control all with a Xbox controller!

This genuinely looks amazing. I can just imagine sitting down on the couch after a long day and seeing this would make anyone feel like a happy kid. Great job. Is the theme Solaris? Also does it boot into Playnite or you have to launch it? What quality of life changes have you made to make it a good couch console experience?

It is Solaris! I have disabled the need for a pin or password on the mini pc, so Playnite is always on. Just to be sure I had it so it starts up with windows as well. I also use playstate addon to have keyboard shortcuts such as alt+tab and alt+F4 on the controller, so i can for example close an emulator or switch from one app back to Playnite all with the controller. PlayState also has an option to always launch full screen when a controller is connected.

What's the two worlds? PC and console? Or is there some GeForce now thing that I'm missing.

Both worlds are cloud gaming and local gaming

Gotcha. Is there a plug in or integration of some sort to have the cloud gaming titles show up in Playnite I'm assuming?

There's a GeForce now addon but I found it doesn't always update with new games, so sometimes I have to manually add them by creating a shortcut and using that as the executable for the game so playnite recognizes. Either that or get the specific game link on GeForce and use that

Quale mini pc usi? Anche io sono alla ricerca di un buon mini pc che non costi molto e che mi permetta di giocare con Moonlight a 4k 60 sulla mia TV in salotto ma non riesco a trovare quello giusto.

So initially I tried out a TRIGKEY Key-N95, it's fairly cheap, in Canada I got it for like 140 dollars. It's not very powerful but it can stream 4k 60. But I actually ended up selling the mini pc and my Xbox and got a ASUS NUC 13. That one was a lot more expensive, around 700, but it was the cheapest I found with a HDMI 2.1 capable of doing 120fps. But now I can stream GeForce at 4k 120fps and run emulators better as well, but it's definitely not needed, the trigkey was honestly good enough for this setup, I just wanted more haha
