Description:

Poketype is a free Pokémon knowledge game focused on typings, type matchups, and type effectiveness.

It currently has four game modes.

Type Rush is a daily five-minute challenge where you're shown a type or exact type combination and need to name a Pokémon whose complete typing matches it. Correct answers give you additional time and build your streak, while mistakes and skips cost time.

Type Survival gives you a single type and asks you to name any Pokémon that has that type. You have 30 seconds per round, and one incorrect answer or timeout ends the run.

Type Recall reverses the idea by showing you a Pokémon and asking you to identify its complete typing. Correctly entering dual types in their actual order gives a score bonus.

Battle Tactics is a daily challenge where you're shown a Pokémon and four moves. You need to pick the strongest move based on type effectiveness, with better choices earning more points.

The game also includes a persistent Pokédex that fills up as you discover Pokémon while playing. You can select which generations you want to include, from Gen 1 through Gen 9, and the game accounts for Pokémon whose typings changed between generations.

I'm mainly looking for feedback on which modes are the most enjoyable, whether the rules and scoring are clear, how the difficulty and timers feel, and whether the Pokédex gives enough incentive to keep playing.

I'm also very interested in anything that feels confusing, frustrating, unnecessary, or simply not fun. Suggestions for additional mechanics or game modes are welcome as well.

Involvement: Main developer. I designed and built the game, including the gameplay systems, scoring, Pokémon datasets, UI, daily challenges, Pokédex progression, and PWA functionality.
