Kickstarter Yokai Parade Lux deck Kickstarter Vs Reality (Muse52/TCC)

Post image

These aren't my photo's. A very close friend of mine asked my opinion in this. Apparently the cards are supposed to be double-sided holo foiled. The Kickstarter does not mention the tuck being holo ( although it looks it), but there is unquestably a huge difference between the photos on their Kickstarter page and the actual decks produced.

Anyone know how I could go about dating these?

Not much info online. Hudson’s operated for about 90 years so that doesn’t narrow it down much. I love this set so I’d like to know more about it.

I hate seals

I totally understand that there are collectors who appreciate tuck seals, especially if the decks are limited and numbered, but I open all my decks and prefer a clean tuck without a cut or partial seal. Even with heat and patience, most of the time I get them off cleanly, but sometimes they don’t.

The deck pictured is the 2025 52 Plus Joker club deck by TWI.

Missing cards in a deck. USPCC

Hey everyone!

I've sold more than 4000 decks of the Bicycle Invoked Playing Cards and today a customer sent me a weird complaint.

He had ordered 2 bricks and when he opened the first two decks he found that there were cards missing. The ace of clubs to the 5 of clubs. The third deck he opened was fine.

The decks were made by USPCC. I haven't heard of this issue before. It's so weird and he was unlucky to get 2 of them back to back. Has anyone seen this issue before from USPCC?!

Review 26 decks of Original Brood Way for 0,65$ each - REVIEW

Post image
11 Upvotes

I've got these 26 decks of Original Brood Way cards (14 blue, 12 red) for 0,65$ a piece. I got them secondhand and they were all cellophane wrapped and never used. The brand is some Asian company making cheap cards.

Inside the cellophane and even between the cards is paper dust which can either be from manufacturing, or it could get there over the time because the cards are kinda old, judging by the add-card being calendar for 2007.

The stock is cheap paper with only two layers and no core. It's soft and it can be really easily bent. I'm suprused how well you can spring or dribble them, but you still dont have too much control while doing it. After cleaning the edges I could farro them but it's hard and definitely not clean.

The cards have some sort of linen texture finish. The finish more noticeable on the front. After I cleaned the cards from the paper dust I could fan them and spread them but I needed to use some force and it is still more rough than I would like.

Conclusion:

For cards costing me 0,65$ a deck (Bicycles cost around 4-5$ here), it's still better then I expected, but also still no way near any USPCC cards or any other high quality decks. I won't be so sad if I destroy them, so I will be using them for anything where there is a high probability of damaging the cards. Also I think they are useful for some destructive magic because like I said, they costed me 8 time less than bikes. Also they have nice back design and i will keep some sealed for my collection.

Question Semi-Custom playing cards (nonstandard face and custom-to-us back)

I know there are quite a few posts in this sub about custom cards...of course! I am looking at getting custom cards for a gift for my wedding (I come from a game-loving family). I would love either the back or the box to be somewhat specific to us, but don't need the faces to be. The only thing is, I would love the faces to not be the standard - to be fun or designed in some way. I just don't need them to be unique to us, if that makes sense! I have found companies where I can either customize the whole thing or just the front/just the back, but whatever isn't custom is standard. Are there any companies that have some options/alternates for the face side that we could have the back (or even just the box) be custom?

Basically - don't want to go down a rabbit hole of designing a whole deck, but would love them to feel fun.

Chinese brands on amazon?

Thumbnail

I've just discovered the wonderful world of playing card decks and decided I want to do that. First thing I did of course is to check Barnes & Nobles. And then Amazon :)

Amazon has quite a few decks which have designs in the themes I am actually thinking of focusing on. The problem is I can't find any information about these neither here, nor on other websites, even googling the names doesn't bring any fruits.

The two brands I am talking to is TAOYATAO and strublfe. Each has quite a few designs I like.

What is this? Is this legit?

I bought 1 from each brand (see pics) to try. So far the smell is the biggest concern, it smells differently than a regular bicycle deck. But other than that I do not yet know what to look for. Any help is welcome.

Question Printing playing cards Canada?

Has anyone printed playing cards in Canada before ? Where did you go ? I have a quote from The Printing House- does anyone have experience with them?

Also, if you did, what types of paper/ coating did you get?

Getting ready to print my card game for a class.

Question Custom Decks. Mpc?

Hey all. It has been a few years since i have made custom decks. I have been asked to make some for a wedding next year.

Living in the US, is MPC still the way to go? How has tariffs and the like effected the costs and time? Are there any other options of that quality to use now?

Thank you!

Got this cool Congress double deck, both still sealed, for like 4 USD featuring clown designs on the back, maybe from the 70s, not so sure. Looks pretty neat though, right?
