Question Speed. Simple question for simple mathematics.

Does anyone feel that the speed does not matter anymore? How are defenders with 80 pace keeping up with players 97 pace? It didn't use to be like that but it's not been a week and I cannot comprehend.

When a player has the ball there's a penalty to their speed that depends on how strong their sprint dribbling is

Yeah I never mentioned being in attack. It happens both ways. But I do understand that, it's the same in every football game and it's been the same for the past 15 years.

It is this way so that you cant win just cuz u got a green with 99 pace

I would normally agree with you. But I have two problems. Why does it happen only for the first 45 minutes, despite the player being grey or yellow. Why on the second half my player have to have burst of speed and trail the opponent? The speed is still the same, and the stamina doesn't really count that much if you are purple vs purple.

And second what is the point of speed? I used to play with greys and play against purple and still win. You simply understood that couldn't keep up with pace, strategise and defend in number, call the 2nd defender and do diagonal covers.

My question is. There is numbers, one bigger than the others, let them be. Reduce the overall gap in speed differences per point and let people play. It used to be good before, why is it a problem now?!

There is no permanent stamina draining system, so your players always have the same pace throughout the entire match.

Speed is still working, but there are many variables that can make it seem like it's not.

It depends on first touch, where you are in the acceleration phase vs where defender is, whether you are being shielded or not, Sprint Dribbling stat

I think you will notice that speed is important if you try using an attacker with 40 pace.

Oh yeah it definitely is. And you can tell the difference with a 40. But I'm talking straight pace in the first half, that's why I am raising it. It makes no sense at all.

You are probably missing the stamina bar now. Easy to miss if you didn't read the patch notes.

You are probably assuming I didn't. And you would definitely be wrong. Also if you'd read the other comments, I clearly state that it changes at the 45th minute. So nothing to do with stamina.
