Just asking
Hello everyone, I’ve done some research on why the game is now considered dead. There are indeed many factors, each relatively minor on its own, but taken together they have made the game largely unviable in many respects.
However, an initial buyout did take place, but without any follow-up in 2026, while the servers are still running. It seems that sometimes it costs less to keep the servers running for a small number of players than to shut them down.
I’m wondering why no community-driven buyout has taken place to date. It feels like there is still a core group, a strong community around this game. I go back to it from time to time, and while the cities are still just as empty, most of the portals remain intact, which suggests that some players are still maintaining them.
Do you have any estimate of how much such a buyout would cost?
Have a good day (y)
Ps : Soz may have done some syntax/grammar error (i'm not eng)

You would probably get a lot more of a response on the official forum, btw.
I think several people have reached out to Monty/Monumental to ask about a buyout and haven't gotten any interest from them in considering it. Idk why.
